Two...Two...Two Posts in One

Good morning, bloggers. I have two exciting (well at least it is exciting to me) items to report this morning.

First off, I got my Christmas Cards purchased. The reason that this is exciting is because this year, I decided not to go with the standard box from the store. Those have begun to all look the same, and I wasn't real thrilled with them to begin with. So, I decided to do a picture card. Anyone who knows me knows my ultra-extreme aversion to pictures. So, a card with my picture on it was out of the question. Therefore, last night I sat my dogs down for a photoc session. This photo session was basically me covering a living room chair with red fabric and a Christmas Tree skirt. I then sat it front of them for about 30 minutes just snapping away. Here are some of the photos that came from that (you'll have to wait until you see the Christmas Card for the "prize" photo).

My second interesting news is that I cooked last night. I have discovered a wonderful new cookbook--it is the Jessica Seinfield "Deceptively Delicious" Cookbook. I know there have been many people poo-pooing the originality of the recipes, but I am here to say that they are easy, good tasting, and encouraging towards eating your vegetables. And the fact that I have actually gotten out pots and pans and prepared some of these recipes is a testament to its ease. So, if you haven't checked it out. I would.

Cute pictures of your puppies!

I asked for the Seinfeld cookbook for Christmas. I actually got a couple of recipes off the website and really loved the chicken nuggets made with broccoli. I must say, though, the brownies were NOT our favorite. Maybe if I used a darker chocolate they would've been better. I'm still hoping for the cookbook, though, so I can try all of the recipes!

Recipes are like teaching ideas. . .they are all recycled anyway--she just found a way to market it.

I was putting baby food veggies in Victoria's juice long before she and Jerry even batted an eye at each other, but I'm not bitter. :)

And your card was PRECIOUS.
