So, I thought you guys might enjoy a taste of VBS. We had a rehearsal today with some of our costumes and some of our props. It was pretty cool. However, I think I probably need to explain some of the pictures.
This first picture is inside the fish's mouth. The thing on the left that is red is the fish's tongue. Both Jonah and another fish start this night by sliding down the tongue. Also, it is not raining inside the fish. The reason you see some ladies holding umbrellas is because their costumes are based around umbrellas, but they are not finished. I just wanted them to have something to hold for practice.
On this picture, please notice the large parrot that is perched in our baptistry. There is a mast and sail that stretches up above him, but we didn't haul it in for today's rehearsal.
Here is the fish. It started out about 3 feet wider and 12 feet longer than you see it here.
